Jennifer Greenberg
My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help you effectively address personal life challenges. With compassion and understanding, I work with you to help build on your strengths and attain personal growth. From working with veterans at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, I have expertise, knowledge, and experience treating men and women with combat-related distress, traumatic brain injury, anxiety and depression. I can help with post-deployment reintegration to restore, heal, and deepen family connections, while re-establishing intimacy with loved ones. In addition to working with veterans and their families, I use the PREPARE/ENRICH program to counsel couples preparing for marriage or a life-long relationship. I help couples create strong relationships by teaching effective communication skills to resolve conflict and reduce stress. I have presented at workshops on sexual health and intimacy issues for wounded warriors at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Services (USUHS) in Bethesda, MD and I wrote a chapter on PTSD & Intimacy in the book Intimacy Post-Injury, through Oxford University Press. I am in private practice in Bethesda, MD, where I specialize in individual and couples therapy related to combat-exposure/trauma and sexual health and intimacy. I am a member of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) and the Greater Washington Society of Clinical Social Workers (GWSCSW). I hold clinical licensure as a Social Worker in Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia and New Jersey.
