Hi! I am Dana Shafir and I am a doctoral-level psychotherapist (LPC), licensed in Texas, as well as a health and wellness coach. I have 12+ years of experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with different needs and goals. I use a person-centered, humanistic, collaborative, integrative, & strength-based approach with an empathic, warm, and genuine delivery in order to help my clients feel confident and in control of their own lives. My role as as counselor is to educate, empower, guide, and support my clients during their journeys towards healthier ways of coping and living. I believe in the importance of personalized and holistic (mind, body, soul) care and meeting my clients where they are at this junction of their lives. I work towards helping them make realistic, gradual, and lasting changes that will enable them to reach, and more importantly, maintain, their current and future life goals. Some of the issues I have helped clients work through include stress-management, time-management, relationships, conflict-resolution, communication-skills, anxiety, depression, life transitions (college, new graduate, new job, marriage, empty nest, aging parents, retirement), relationship issues, pregnancy and postpartum-related issues, health and wellness goals, emotional/disordered eating and body image, self esteem, grief, and more. I feel honored anytime a person chooses to work with me, and am fully committed to each and every client's well-being!
