For a long as I can remember I love supporting and empowering people in improving the quality of their lives. As a child when I was challenged by difficulties I asked myself, “Deborah do you want to be part of the problem or part of the solution?” My answer has always been I want to be part of the solution. Whether putting out a fire to protect lives and property when I was a Fire Fighter, as a Forensic Interviewer at a Child Advocacy center to help children tell their stories or as a Licensed Professional Counselor helping women move from victims to survivors to thrivers. I have been a witness to their stories and a guide and coach to help them transform their traumas into triumphs. About five years ago it became my turn as I awakened to needing to do some healing work. In the process of helping others I had under cared, slighted and not appreciated myself. The price I paid was a decline in my health, attitude and withdrawing from friends and family. This awakening led me to pause, reconnect with my core self, realign with what was really important to me, and create new practices for my self-care. It has been a life transformative journey and one that I love sharing and nurturing other women to reconnect to themselves and redefine success and live a life of love and balance.
